FIFA Referee Sudish Pandey is all set officiate the opening match of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2020. The opening match will be between Palestine and Bangladesh at Bangabandhu Stadium. Palestine is the defending champions of the championship.
The 37-years old Nepali referee Pandey is regarded as one of the finest referee in South Asia. Pandey has been the official in many club based international tournaments as well. He has also officiated the final match of Seikh Jamal Gold Cup few months back in Bangladesh. It has been learnt that Pandey was personally invited as the match official for the Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2020.
He was also nominated as Best Referee of the Year in all Refereeing category of Sports in Nepal. He was honored by Nepal Sports Council as well.
In addition to this, Pandey has officiated in AFC Champions League and many more Prestigious international tournament along with the SEA Games’ 3rd Place match between Indonesia and Myanmar in 2017.
Nepal was the champions of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup in 2017. This time, Nepal is not participating in the championship.
