Switzerland will face another strong side Spain in the Quarter final match of Euro 2020 on Friday after upsetting the world champions France.
Switzerland created the shock of the tournament when it ousted the world champions and the tournament favorites France in the Penalty shootout after the normal time match finished 3-3 draw, thanks to the Goalkeeper Yann Sommer who saved Kylian Mbappe’s penalty.
Switzerland overcame a two goal deficit in the last 9 minutes, when it seemed France had booked the place for the next round.
Similarly, Spain beat Croatia 5-3 after the extra time as the normal regulation time ended 3-3. Morata and MIkel Oyzrzabal scored in the extra time for the spanish side and booked a place for the next round. Now, former world champions face the challenge against Switzerland.
