Dipendra Singh Airee announced the vice-captain of National Team

Nepal’s classical all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has been announced as the vice-captain of National cricket team in the absence of regular vice-captain Gyanendra Malla.

In the squad announced today regular players  Basanta Regmi, Sarad Veswakar, Gyanendra Malla and Pradeep Airee were left out from the squad. Young players duo Kushal Malla and Ishan Pandey were included for the first time.

Airee had already led Nepal in various age-level tournaments. Nepal had won against India in 2017 U-19 Asia cup under the captaincy of Airee where his performance with both bat and ball were brilliant. After that, Airee had already served as the skipper in various domestic leagues.

Airee had stood himself as one of the promising player of the Nepali cricket team with his consisting batting performance along with his part-time bowling.

Nepal will play the tri-series from September 27 to October 3 and will fly to Oman to play a T20 Tournament starting from 5th October to 10th. The tournament comprises of teams like Netherlands, Ireland, Hong Kong and host Oman itself.
