Frenkie De Jong to miss match against Athletic Bilbao following his calf injury.
Barcelona’s title hope was dented by Friday’s draw at Sevilla followed by Real Madrid’s win at Sociedad.
The Blaugrana has been suffering from the injuries as well. Their summer signing Frenkie de Jong missed their trip to Sevilla and is due to miss the next fixture as well.
Barcelona is hosting Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday and the mid-fielder won’t be able to feature in the match.

However, the Barca boss Quique Setien still believes that the mid-fielder will be back soon before the end of the season.
De Jong is currently fighting against his calf injury and the reports claim that the Dutchmen won’t be back for the rest of the season.
However, the boss has different opinion. “We hope that won’t be the case. He has a small injury in the area of his calf and we’ll see how he progresses. But I’m sure he’ll be able to play a few games.” Setien told reporters on Monday.
Barca lost their top spot following Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Real Sociedad . However, they are on equal points, Real Madrid leads Barca by the virtue of head-to-head records.
Barcelona had played a goal-less draw with Madrid at Nou Camp. Therefore, the head-to-head record was influenced by Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Barcelona at Santiago Bernabeu.
