CPL T20 2020 draft is scheduled for Wednesday. However, various franchises has already made their few foreign picks and players retention.
Various franchises for CPL T20 2020 have signed some of the top names like, Australian batsman Chris Lynn, Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan and Qais Ahmad, South African batsman Rilee Rossouw.
Some of the big names left to picked up are Nepal’s leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, Shahid Afridi and Eoin Morgan. The list also includes Tim Southee, Ben Cutting, Faf du Plessis, David Miller, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and so on.
Among the list, Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is only the player who listed in USD 160,000. Morgan in USD 130,000 category, Tim Southee and Ben Cutting in USD 110,000 category.
The rest of the players including Sandeep Lamichhane are in USD 90,000.
In addition to these players, Brathwaite, lex Hales, Kagiso Rabada, Saheen Afridi remain in the category of USD 60,000.
CPL T20 2020 Draft: Remaining Slots
According to the ESPN Cricinfo, Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders have the least number of slots left. Both of them have three slots each. Similarly, Jamaica Tallawahs have 11 vacant spots, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots six. Barbados Tridents and St Lucia Zouks have five each.
The CPL has proposed to start this years’s CPL T20 from August 18 to September 10 behind closed doors in Trinidad & Tobago. However, it awaits the permission from the government.
