BREAKING: Sandeep Lamichhane included in Asia XI alongside Kohli and other Stars

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will host the two Asia XI vs World XI T20I fixtures on March 18 and 21 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of their founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Both the matches will be played at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

The BCB has confirmed the Asia XI squad which includes Nepal’s leg spinning sensation Sandeep Lamichhane in the team. The BCB president Nazmul Hassan said that they are looking for the “best current cricketers” for the two sides, and expected many of their desired players to be available as only two teams are scheduled to be involved in international cricket by that time.

Among the 15-men squad, six of them are from Indian national side. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli along with  KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishab Pant, Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav are representing India. Similarly, from Afghanistan, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are included. With one from Nepal and two from Sri Lanka, four of the Bangladeshi players are included in the team.
