BREAKING: Bundesliga is all set to resume from May 15

The German top tier league, Bundesliga is all set to return from May 15 after the Chancellor Angela Merkel showed green light for the sports. Soon after the Chancellor announcement, the DFL confirmed that the league will resume soon from the midway of this month.

Bundesliga 2 will also follow the top tier league. The Bundesliga will be the first among top 5 European leagues to resume after the Covid-19 pandemic. All the sporting activities around the world is halted due to the pandemic with few of them cancelling the league as well. Belgian league was first to be called off without the winner in the Europe with Ligue 1 following them. However, the Ligue 1 announced Paris Saint-Germain the winner of the league.

Several media organizations reported on Wednesday evening that they had obtained confirmation about a report originally published by the mass circulation daily Bild, that the German Football League (DFL) had decided to restart play on May 15.

According to the reports the 36 clubs have already been informed in a letter from DFL CEO Christian Seifert, which leading football publication kicker obtained and cited in its report.

Spanish La Liga is also set to resume with most of the clubs having started testing their players ahead of training.
