Barcelona edges closer to keep Leo Messi until 2023

Its been more than seventeen years since Lionel Messi started playing for Barcelona. With the Argentine contract ending in the summer of 2021, it is believed that Leo Messi is set to renew his contract until 2023.
The six-times Ballon d’Or winner, who turns 33 on Wednesday has already been one of the greatest player played for Barcelona and played more than 700 official games for the Catalan club.
According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Messi will renew the contract until 2023 with an option to leave the club within the contract as per the player’s wish.

Leo will keep his current salary, but will, in turn, receive a renewal bonus for signing the contract that will tie him to the club until 2023 — at least.
