Australia and Peru face each other in AFC-CONMEBOL Intercontinental Playoff, which will fill one of the remaining two spots at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Australia defeated UAE in Asian play-off last week to confirm meeting with Peru. Peru finished fifth in the CONMEBOL Qualifying.

The match between Australia and Peru will be played at Al Rayyan Stadium, Qatar and will kick off at 4 am Australia time which is 9pm local time.

Australia has qualified for the FIFA World Cup in all the four previous occasions and a win against Peru will seal their place in the World Cup for sixth time, making it five in a row.

Australia has no any new injury concerns although they played againt UAE last week. However, Tom Rogic withdrew from the squad citing a personal reason. Adam Taggart is back in training and could make himself available for the match.
