The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Friday made a decision to conduct all the Asian Qualifier matches at centralized venues. The decision was made after series of consultation with Asia’s Member Associations.
Therefore, the AFC confirmed the Eight centralized venues for eight different groups. The Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and AFC Asian Cup China 2023™ matches scheduled to take place from 31 May to June 15, 2021.
Nepal will play their remaining three home matches at Kuwait. Nepal will play against Australia, Jordan and Chinese Taipei. Nepal played their last home match, which was also played in Neutral venue in Bhutan against Kuwait. This means, Nepal will not play a single FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and AFC Asian Cup China 2023™ Qualifiers matches at home.
Nepal is currently at fourth position in five teams standing with 3 points. Australia leads the table with 100% win record.
