The Arsenal FC confirmed that the Covid-19 test has been positive on their head coach Mikel Arteta which result on the closing of London Colney training centre.
In a club statement made by the club, all the Arsenal personnel who has been in contact with the boss will now self-isolate in line with Government health guidelines. The self-isolation includes the full first-team squad and coaching staff, as well as a smaller number of people from our Hale End Academy which we have also temporarily closed as a precaution. Similarly, those who weren’t in contact with the coach will return to work in the coming days.
After the incident, the club confirmed that this weekend’s fixture of Arsenal with Brigton is postponed till the further notice, citing the health concern.
