After the signing of of Timo Werner from RB Reipzig, many Chelsea fans have been surrounded by the question whether the player will be available for the rest of the Champions League or not.
There was a thin possibility of the Blues being allowed to include their latest signings Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner in their Champions League squad.

However, following the latest update by the UEFA on June 17, it made clear that no new signing will be available for the rest of the season.
According to the UEFA, All the teams will be allowed to register three new players but can’t be the new signing after February 3, 2020. Which means, Chelsea won’t be allow to field their new signings duo Ziyech and Werner.
Ziyech is already out of the Champions League this season whereas Timo Werner has already pulled out his name from the Leipzig’s Champions League squad.
The two players will join the Blues in July with Ziyech already bidding farewell to his club Ajax and Werner will be playing his final match for his club later this month.
