ANFA suspended six players and a official from Manang-Machhindra fight incident

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) had made a soft decision regarding the brawl between players in a match between Manang Marshyangdi and Machhindra Club.

In the fifth round match of Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League 2076, the Dashrath Stadium turned into a wrestling ring as players/ officials from Manang Marshyangdi and Machhindra FC started the brawl after the final whistle.

As per mentioned in the official website of ANFA, Manang Marshyandi Club’s Jagajeet Shrestha and Ashok Baral has been suspended for 5 games, Ranjan Bista for two and Machhindra Club’s Dipak Rai, Devendra Tamang and Bijay Dhimal for two matches.

Jagajeet and Ashok has also been fined with Rs. 10, 000 each. Kits Manager of Manang Marshyandi Club, Shiva Lama is suspended for all the remaining matches of the league. Lama is also fined with Rs. 10, 000.

The ANFA disciplinary Committee issued the suspension Thursday, three days after the incident at the Dashrath Stadium.

Both of the clubs are also fined with Rs. 50, 000 each for failing to maintain discipline in the team bench.
