After heating up the transfer market with Timo Werner snatch from Liverpool, Chelsea FC are eyeing on another star from Bundesliga.
Bayer Leverkusen’s highest scorer of the season, Kai Havertz has been in Chelsea boss Lampard’s watch-list after failing to convince Jadon Sancho to join the Blues. Sancho is linked with Manchester United and it is believed that the player will join the Red Devil soon.
Therefore, Chelsea draw their interest in, comparatively cheaper Bayer’s mid-fielder who could cost upto £75m. Sancho deal is expected to excess £120 million.

Havertz has scored 15 goals this season so far in all competitions including 10 assists among which five of the goals come after the resumption of the Bundesliga. Havertz has been in the Leverkusen first team since he was 17 and has seven caps for Germany.
Chelsea seem to be reckless in transfer in this window as they were banned for two season to transfer in the players. However, the banned was halved following the appeal from the club and the club will be able to sign players from the upcoming transfer window.
Chelsea have already confirmed the signing of Ajax star Hakim Ziyech for £38m and will be joining the Blues in next season. Similarly, the club is due to spent another £54 million in bringing the Leipzig versatile forward Timo Werner.
Kai Havertz deal won’t be that much easy for Chelsea as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are interested on him as well.
Bayer sporting director Simon Rolfes said: “We don’t know yet what will happen to Kai. We know that all the great clubs from Germany and Europe are after him and that he has the ability to play anywhere.”
