The second edition of ACC Men’s Premier Cup is starting from April 12 in Oman. The first edition of the tournament was hosted in Nepal last year.
Nepal are the defending champions and will be looking to defend the title and qualify for yet another ACC Asia Cup. ACC Premier Cup is the gateway to the Asia Cup as the winner of championship qualifies for the Asia Cup.
In he last edition, the Men’s Premier Cup was hosted in 50-overs format with the Asia Cup also being an ODI Tournament. From this edition, both the Asia Cup and Premier Cup will be in T20 Format.
ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2024 Format
A total of 10 top Asia teams will be fighting for that one place in the ACC Asia Cup 2025. Top 8 ranked teams automtically make it to the championship whereas the other two teams joined after the completion of 2024 ACC Men’s Challenger Cup.
Saudi Arabia won the championship whereas, Cambodia finished runner-up.
All the ten teams are divided into two groups of 5 teams each in group A and Group B. Nepal are placed in group A along with Hong Kong, Malaysia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Group B consists of UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Cambodia. UAE are the finalist of last edition where they went down to host Nepal in the final.
