A biographical movie named “Bhakundo” is being made since 2 years and the movie will be based on the life of former Nepal skipper Anil Gurung. Talking to the MeroFilm, the director of the movie Shiva Puri said that almost all the works are finished with songs left.
The shooting of the movie was done in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Jomsom. The exciting part of the movie is, Gurung himself will be featuring as the lead character. Some clips of him playing from the National side will be used in the movie.
Gurung is currently third highest goal scorer for Nepal with 10 International goal in his name. Gurung played as the National player from 2007 to 2017. He has also won 50 International caps. Among his many goals, the one against arch rival India at Dashrath Stadium, which has helped Nepal to register the first win against India is unforgettable. The Stadium has erupted during that 2-1 win over India in the SAFF Championship 2013.
Gurung made his international debut against Oman in a world cup qualifier that Nepal lost 2-0 on 8 October 2007 at Muscat.
