The 14th edition of SAFF Championship is set to kick off in India from June 21. The event will be held in India from 21 June to 4 July 2023 at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
India were awarded the hosting right following the FIFA ban on Sri Lanka football. Sri Lanka are not participating in the tournament.
With a aim to make the Championship more competitive, the Federation has invited two strong teams, Kuwait and Lebanon. They will surely add some flavor in South Asian Football.
The official draw of the 2023 SAFF Championship was done on 17th May.
Group A: India (Host), Kuwait, Nepal, Pakistan.
Group B: Lebanon, Maldives, Bhutan, Bangladesh.
The opening match of the SAFF Championship 2023 will be played between the last edition finalist Nepal and the new-comer Kuwait on 21st June.

With India being the host of the SAFF Championship 2023, Star Sports could possibly be the official broadcaster of the tournament. However, the official confirmation is yet to be made.
